malcolm 0
Handbook gives the Unladen weights as 1155kg for 2 door and 1180kg for 4 door, max permissable weight 1680kg. Basic model , automatic box adds 20-30kg, other things like aircon, sunroof , will increase it.
danp 0
cheers for that, less than I thought, handy for the old power/wt calculation ;-)even a hot Clio is pushing 1100kg these days, Civic Type R 1200kg, so an AMD remap with large throttle body would see them and Mini Cooper S's off nicely ;-)(not got a handbook yet, hopefully get that with the car tomorrow)
acf8181 0
oh, yeah, new cars weigh silly amounts.....but thats so they survive accidents well. don't crash into any new car, even a clio will seriously damage a mkIII golf (a friend had her driver driven into by a new clio, clio had a cracked headlamp and golf had whole rear end stoved in!)
