ian_GTI 0 Posted July 4, 2011 Report Share Posted July 4, 2011 Hi all I just fitted my obd2 (AAA) engine into a golf cabriolet but I'm having problems getting it to startIt will turn over but not even try to fireWith the ignition on the fuel pump will turn on and keep runningYou can her the fuel in the fpr sounds like it's bobbling kind ofI haven't checked for a spark yet as I think the fuel issue is more pressingI have done a bit of looking around and have read that if the ecu earth isn't right it can cause the injectors to stay open but that was on some 1.8s not vr6sI know it's hard to find problems without looking at it but maybe someone has had the same problem Cheers all Link to post Share on other sites

ian_GTI 0 Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 4, 2011 When I swapped the engine I only unplugged the big plug on the right of the engine and any that had to come off as when I took the engine out i did it from the subframe and swapped it all over as one, i also swapped the whole front end wiring loom Link to post Share on other sites
