badboyV6 4
Not been having much luck lately with my VR.... Just got down to Wales and on the way back tried to fill up with juice. Now as some of you know i think my Central locking pump is knackered as it will lock but it wont open. Well as i went to open the flap i was greeted by a nice surprise- a locked filler flap- im really p*ssed now so any help would be appreciated before i rip the f*cker off!!! Anyway you can open this flap while bypassing the c/l- i can get in the boot etc....... Thanks peeps
stu h 0
hi mate, not having much joy are you?anyway, in my mk2 you could see the bar that attached to the locking mechanism in the boot -basically if you'ree having trouble witht the lock you could open it manually by pulling the bar. i bet if you have a root around inside the boot you'll find something similar mate -want me to look at mine? badboyV6 4
Yeah if you could m8! Much appreciated- ive got to get a quick fix as ive got to take a m8 and his Mrs to Heathrow airport sunday- and short of ripping the fooking flap off im stuck!!! Anyone know much about these pumps? Is it a 2 way solenoid of sorts. Reason i ask is it seems the plug that connects to the pump is corroded- one of the wires is off- now if i put this wire back on it operates fine to close, but doesnt do anything to open!?!?!? My thinking is this plug contains one wire for opening and one for closed- i might be completely wrong though..... HELP (AGAIN!)

shail 0
Have you checked the pipes which run to/from the pump? They can get holes in them so you dont get a vacume.
