just2zang 0
speedo, what are jetex like on vr's? By the way u will always get good money for a late plate vr. BBS wheels never go for cheap second hand either. what u loose money on is everything else apart from vsr manifold's, supersprint exhausts, and supercharger's if u buy them second hand to start with.dub girl i hate doing paint, but have found a few scratches and chips on f and rear bumper, bonnet, rear wing.. thing is who can u trust to spray your baby? It never comes out like factory and i always walk away if i see a car thats had a spray except for the bumpers which are minor.Scratches always show up on black!! worst colour for it.[ Edited Wed Mar 03 2004, 01:51AM ]
jonvr6highline 0
Bought the Highline nearly 2 years ago with 44K FSH for £8,000. Alloys, Hella Twinheadlights, Lexus Taillights, Dual Exit Exhaust, Kamei Grille, Side Repeaters, Induction Kit, Sony Stereo, Gear Knob, Doorpins, Tax Disc Holder, Suspension = Just Under £1,500. Not far off £10,000.Jeez, until now didn't realise how much I had spent. Thats a lot of money to leave lying around in car parks unattended! I would take the bits off and sell the car as standard though. Make more money that way! [ golfvr6011evensmaller.jpg ]

antera309 3
Re the poll, I would get an Audi S3 3.2 Quattro with DSG. But it's got a VR6 engine so it still counts.
speedo 0
just2zang I love & rate my jetex (but then you would, wouldn`t ya) , as it sounds lovely and deep on idle, i noticed a power difference, looks good not over the top and lastly doesn`t sound like `billy boy racers` saxo!!
eViL 0
I have a Jetex and it's sooo quiet compared to my previous Scorpion system. I've gained some lower torque from the change too. So improved back pressure it would seem.
just2zang 0
i quite like the look of the jetex. On other cars I read that it was one of the best performance wise but obviously not as good build quality as a magnex.what does that cost then, names of parts shop pls. just2zang 0
Next month -Relocate Washer Jets quote]Apparently some peugeot's have these located on the wipers, and is an easy mod. Madvr6 has done this and filled in the bonnet holes, all of them! LoOks mean as fcuk with the custom bonnet vents but he still hasn't bothered to put pictures up yet. HINT!!! Purpline 0
I hadn't quite planned how to do it yet -but if I could get wipers with jets on them, that would be cool. Most VW's I've seen have relocated them to the scuttle below the windscreen but I don't know how effective they would be there. I want the looks without taking away the practicality. I will be filling the bonnet holes - but I may as well as I need a new bonnet anyway. Some one reversed into me in a car park so my current bonnet's creased. I replaced the bumper last month (could be a blessing in disguise really, I suppose). Got a lot of work on still though.[ Edited Thu Mar 04 2004, 09:45AM ]
Purpline 0
I haven't quite decided about my Scorpion exhaust. It can be loud but iy does sound mint when floored (TVR type sound). It can get annoying on a long journey - but performance was definately improved. It does attract too much attention some times - I don't really want to be considered a boy racer - but that's difficult, I suppose, when you're driving a modified car. In a way, I like the looks of the Scorpion as I haven't seen many other twin pipe Scorpions around - and it does look good when polished (a little large maybe - not everybody's cup of tea - but does suit the car). I love the look of the Sebrings though. I'll make do for now - too many other things to change.
