hvr6 88 Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 It's official the date for the VR6 Owners Club Meet has be set for Saturday 20th August and this year things are a little different!The main show day with most of the the events including the Show and Shine will be Saturday 20th August. There will be Camping, Holiday Caravans and lodges (for people that don't do camping) available for the nights of Friday 19th and Saturday 20th for those that wish to join in with the evenings plans, which include a film or two, a few drinks (optional) by the fire side, food via BBQ and relaxation, chill out, general malarky and a chance to talk to fellow VR6OC members. Twister Game7. Evening Movies8. Winner takes all fastest lap around the Nurburging on PS2 ..... or alike 9. Late afternoon/ evening BBQ. Run By the Mods. Yes that mean you Craggsy ....Show and Shine Event.Categories to include :-Best wheels.Best interior.Best engine bay. From standard to the down right looney.Best VR6Best modification of the year.Best Variant (R32, Corrado, Cabrio, Golf MK2 etc etc ) Most Improved. Best Standard.Show & Shine Entry Requirements£2 entry fee, payable on the day, to help cover the cost of the trophies and all are welcome to enter. Cars must be in the Show and Shine area from 2pm - 3.30pm for voting and voting will close at 3.30pm. Winners and trophies will be announced at 4pm. Your Vehicle Reg or forum name must be displayed to help with voting. Club members of the club in attendance that day will vote, vehicle information cards are allowed to identify any subtle modifications, you cannot vote for yourself and only one voting slip per person will handed out, children also included. VR6OC Go Karting show down.This has been a great success at every National Meet held at Billing and has provided some great photos, talking points and shown up some true racing skills or lack of skills. Not too many rules to this just be sensible and safe - it is a non contact sport.... apparently! Crash helmets are supplied but you can bring your own if you have one, gloves are NOT supplied. There are fast kart's for the adults and kiddy kart's for the kiddies so fun for all the family. So why give it a go never know might win yourself some thing as there will be a prize for this too. Tug of War.Does what does on the tin, Two teams at each end of the rope! We'll try to even out the numbers depending on who turns up on the day.There will be 3 or 4 rounds.1. Boys V Girls.2. North V South.3. Owners of Forced VR6s V Owners of N/A VR6s.4. Golf Owners V Variant Owners.Twister MatRemember the old days when you used to play twister with your friends or family .... well we are bringing it back. There is no limit to how many can play at once, but more than four is a tight fit. This should be a funny game and we'll find out who's the most flexible club member! Fun for all the family and all ages. Evening events.Big screen entertainment Big screen entertainment is the. Home made films (not that kind), photo slide shows and music visualisations.'A virtual Nordschlief challange'The virtual Nordschlief challange where the fastest lap wins. One car will be raced picked by the mods, so its all down to skill and judgement or just how much you can push your virtual car. Other events at Billing Aquadrome this weekend. On the same weekend, Billing will also be hosting the American Auto club show http://www.aac-int.com/ and the Northampton Balloon Festival http://www.northamptonballoonfestival.co.uk/ so it should be a buzzing atmosphere.
