Guest Olly_K
look at it this way......if its roughly 1080 quid all in, get a loan. Get it put on, drive it around for however long you have the car.........when you come to sell the car, sell the vsr sperately.........you'd get back what you'd paid surely ? VR6Steve 0
Good point. Only one flaw in the plan. I don't plan to sell the car :-)

antera309 3
Just posted details of the VSR deal on the golfgti.co.uk forum.Stand back and watch that hitcounter roll!!
PhatVR6 0
it's a VGI......you can't buy the VSR any more, they only made 500.
acf8181 0
whats the difference tho?
nickbee 1
The VSR was a VW/schrick one which looks slightly better than the VGI, allows you to change the plugs and, if you could find one for sale, would cost a bloody fortune. But they do the same thing so everyone calls the VGI a 'VSR'. VR6Steve 0
Can anyone post pictures of both? Would be interesting.
jcorallo 0
by your command - just VSR's here:http://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr1.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr2.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr3.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr4.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr5.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr6.jpghttp://corallo.mysite.freeserve.com/vsr/vsr7.jpgJules

VR6Steve 0
Am I right in thinking that the VGI goes over the top of the engine?
jcorallo 0
as oposed to round the side or under it?!?!
VR6Steve 0
Well i meant over the top of the engine cover Mr Clever Cloggs. Or am I talking nonsense (nothing unusual there I suppose!)
jcorallo 0
Arf!You cant use the OEM engine cover with the Schrick, but with the VW MotorSport VSR, you can.... take a look at Simey's car in the members gallery, and compare with the pics I posted here earlier....Jules
VR6Steve 0
Thanks JulesI guess you would not be wanting to change the plugs too often with one of those fitted. :-)
antera309 3
We should get some advice from Vince on which spark plugs are the hardest wearing and need changing least often.
acf8181 0
its not that big a deal to remove the inlet (to get to the sparks)...just a few bolts.

just2zang 0
yeah but its not as good for torque and only fits obd1.. I found one a little while ago going for $600 but it would'nt fit. I was looking for vgi's in america as I was sure we were getting screwed over in UK.
