justo 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Share Posted January 23, 2005 I changed my spark plugs to platinum tipped jobbies,when i came to the front two,deep ones,yes the obvious happened pulled the f..kin, leed out from the boot.so bought new leeds for 60 bones,put them on and she was missing more then ever.checked the spark from the coil pack and on two cylinders ,one had a poor spark and other had F.All.Does this mean a new coil pack ,if so how much should i pay and from where.how easy is it to diy.Appreciate any replys out there... &| Link to post Share on other sites

Had to take a day off work and buy leads from euro car parts, when i changed them it starting missing like fook- First of all my heart sank as i thought coil pack, then chilled and thought about it.... it was fine before so it turned out one of the leads wasnt seated properly. I took my time and reseated each lead and it worked a treat. The leads i bought arent as good as the VAG items though and a few people have had faulty aftermarket leads from the likes of Euro car parts and GS&F so you wouldnt be the first.... Bit of advice - get a lead removal/ reseating tool. Hope that helps Link to post Share on other sites
