Recommended Posts

i have just spent today ripping apart my vr6 corrado. before i started the car had cooling problems and would get really hot at a standstill i thought it was the thermostat not opening but upon inspection of the head this is what i found,

now to me (being a vw neebie) it looks like the holes either hav not been cut or are just too small

or are they meant to be like this.

i say this as the holes on the head and main block are a lot bigger than in the gasket so do i need to cut the new gasket to allow for more flow of fluids??? as the holes on there are only pin holes

any help would be much apprerciated

cheers
