davemurphy7 0 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 Hi, Can anyone help with telling me what the black unit is by the battery that has the negative lead connected on top of it and a 30 amp fuse (I think), under a clear plastic flap, the fuse is blown but the only thing that is not doing what it should is the abs??? The abs light sometimes stays on and other time it comes on for a moment just before the engine fires.Thanks. Link to post Share on other sites

russj249 2 Posted December 15, 2009 Report Share Posted December 15, 2009 Best thing for ABS is to get it checked out on VAG-COM mate.. probably something completely different to that fuse. The fault you are describing sounds like an intermittent sensor problem. That's what mine did. I got the sensor through trade for £18inc VATIf you haven't got VAG-COM there are a few people on here.
