(2 weeks).Engine cold or hot... more so cold, putting the foot down...1, Lack of power2, Running similar to only firing on 3 or 4 cylinders.3, Popping coming from engine bay almost constantly when putting foot down.Everything inside the bay is absoloutly fine. Checked all odds n sods.My conclusion is the compression in several cylinders escaping into the sump.Another idea is piston or bearing slapping... not sure. Dont know what cured it, but I put new leads and plugs in and it went. I thought my leads were ok till i swapped em for some genuine leads Link to post Share on other sites

The Monk 50 Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2009 I did think earlier that maybe the O/S exhaust mani gasket blowing but I have no hot air blowing at my hand even with the car revving at 4 or 5k.Comp getting worse is my idea atm.Driving me nuts now though.
