smithy86 7 Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 ive had my vr6 for a few months now and have noticed that braking from speed seems to be a bit rubbish,i dont know if this is just me thinking this as i had a clio 16v before which was lighter and seemed to brake very well.just want your opinions on this and if a performance set of disks and pads would make a difference or do i need the tt brake upgrade?thanks lads. DanH 1 Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 could jus be the fluid, it does absorb moisture over time and make em spongy or wooden. i would check pads and discs too, tho wouldnt worry about much else with 63k on the clock tho......mines done 167k and its all still good. Hairyarse 0 Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 Didn't think standard brakes too bad. Have just fitted red stuff pads on mine, notice the difference and they're good. As you're on 280mm discs, you could go for Ferodo DS pads. They're a bit cheaper and on a MK1 I've been in they stop incredibly well. Do your fluid first as mentioned then pads - I did fronts only, seemed enough Link to post Share on other sites
