Fitting induction kit

Recommended Posts

Done a search and not found the answer yet - induction kit arrived today, its an FK Auto one. No fitting guide with it. Sure I can work it out but looks like there's too many pipes, clamps etc. Anyone got a pic of one fitted they can post up?

Thanks in advance

Andy

Thats the bugger Ben! As well as whats in the pic, there's a rubber tube, three clamps, two cable ties and a bracket which I think is for supporting the pipe, its the rubber tube not so sure about. Will have a play when got a mo, just dont want to cock it up!

well not had any experience with that kit tbh mate but in theory you just remove the standard airbox up to the MAF and then one pipe of your new filter should run from the MAF with a bracket which you can normally connect to the turret to the left and then the air filter fits onto the end. Cant really see why you would need any further piping clamps etc tbh !

it might be the same sort of kit you get with K&N you have a metal bracket that fits between the maf and the airpipe then a peice of hose to connect that to the maf then the filter goes onto the maf then you have the pipe that is in the picture to funnel cold air upto the filter from under the inner wing or behind bottom bumper grille by the horn

Hope thia helps can put a pic up of my K&N kit tonight if needed but its not on the car any more

Nope, not a cold air feed one, will just be filter on end of pipe to replace the std filter box. Think will just open the bonnet at the weekend and try fathom it out

Thanks for the tips, will be interesting to see how many bits are left over when I've finished!
