danb 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Share Posted November 17, 2004 ive just put my cat back on for the mot at weekend and noticed there's a hole at the back off the cat which is about 6mm big , is this for testing the cat ? hows this surposed to be blocked up as its blowing through this hole ? i would be greatfull for any help ! antera309 3 Posted November 19, 2004 Report Share Posted November 19, 2004 The holes (there should be two of them!) are for mounting the heatshield.Heatshields falling off (thereby exposing the mounting holes) is a common problem, but you'll be pleased to hear that a missing heatshield is not an MOT fail.If it's blowing thru the hole, plug it up with something and you should be fine.[ Edited Fri Nov 19 2004, 08:09AM ] Link to post Share on other sites
