Basically every town, village and city around the lake gets involved... some people don't even make it into the small town of Reifnitz am Wörthersee... they sit on the side of the road and what the cars go by... You have to pay for toilets which is 30 cents.. however these are the cleanest you will ever see at a show... Camping is the cheapest way to stay.. with regards to B&B, Hotels, guest houses etc.. it all depends on where you stay depends on cost.... we stay in Pörtschach am WörtherseeYou can drive... we covered 2500 miles in 2009, this is the journey there and back and round the lake..... or you can fly from stanstead to Klagenfurt.. Boats operated around the lake... so you can get to and from each town... the slow boat cost 12 euro per day and you can hop on and off.. think it runs until 10pm ish... or you can get the speed boats.. but this costs a bit morein 2009, 4 of us went in our diesel passat... and it cost us £450 each.. for the 10 days.. this included the rubbish exchange rate... fuel... Tunnel Crossing.. Two nights in a hotel... A self catering house for 7 night... Food and beer... tickets... parking... Tolls... infact everything,,, Link to post Share on other sites
