niko_vr6 0
cheers legvw, will have to start collecting stuff then! I'm going for turbo conversion in future and 4wd should help with tyre shredding problem can get those parts quite cheap from abroad so why not?
legvw 0
defo go 4wd if your going to run a turbo in the future! and if the price is right, why not ah? :-)
niko_vr6 0
ok, i've just bought rear driveshaft for about 30£ do i need all parts from golf mk3 synchro or can i use parts from passat synchro, transporter synchro or anything else with synchro?
legvw 0
the reason for trying to use mk3 syncro stuff is that it will fit, prop, driveshafts etc. i'm not too sure how much you can mix an match, not too sure on the transporters.
Rustyman 0
Can i ask what might appear a dumb question... i was thinnking of a 4wd swap later in the year after other jobs have been done... Could i not use the FR chassis from a Leon Cupra they are based on mk4 golfs i believe or take the S3 running gear lock stock ???? I'd rather buy the lot as a whole than bit by bit... legvw 0
No you can't, won't fit. Both subframes are too wide, and the rear requires too much to be modded on the car for it to fit!
