golfrabbit33 0
gearbox broke (well, i broke it). new front discks, pads. (£92 for front pads aaaaahhhhhh!!!!). driveshaft, hub engine in,out.shake it all about. the tears have stopped now, and im over the invoice so i will be at spring gti getting my first 1/4 time in the new car.here`s a good one for all car owners. i was at the rayliegh go kart track in essex, seeing a friend who own`s it. and next door is a lazer quazar shootem up place. after only ten mins i came back to open my car,the alarm did not work ???? first time in 4 years ??? then i smelt smoke, then i thought i would lift my bonnet to check that the smell could not possibly be MY car, it WAS!!!! the lazer centre next door had cooked my wires to the siren unit, then set the siren fully allight. my pal came running out with some water, and informed me that this was the 5th or 6th time that this has happened becuase of the lazer center pumping out too much signal . i would not have believed this unless it happened in front of my eyes WELL IT DID . i have the split fingers to prove how hard i was yanking on the wire to try killing the siren. in the end my steering lock being swung at the cable managed to snap it. you know one of them where it could have gone pairshape in seconds . proper check the trousers time. so please take note of this if you have a lazer center near or are visiting one. leave your alarm unarmed or park in the furthest corner away.im hoping for trouble free motoring til the 29th at least

golfrabbit33 0
yes goth, if its still cool, it would really help me to be there saturday. and my friend (caddy) to come too as requested before thanks gavin, i really cant wait, gotta start practicing my statrs all over again, for years i had it sorted in my standard vr,but now i have the vrt, wheelspin is a real BIG issue. so i pre appologies to the neighbours of my local industrial estates long straight :) at 115mph in 5th on high boost the wheels span and smoked,so when i can afford new underwear lol, i will have to sort out how to get up the 1/4 with minimal traction loss . i have 3 boost settings 0.6 1.0 1.6 i think i`ll be trying the first two for a while before letting it loose. i have an incar adjuster for boost, does anyone know if its poss to get 1st and 2nd out of the way on low, then hit the full 1.6 boost as i get the clutch fully up in 3rd (3rd is where my box is weak and cant slam through from 2nd) will the apexi unit switch that quickly ????? i would rather had a few opinions first rather than breaking it again (esp b4 next week) still im really happy just to have the new one back !!!
