MrWestwoo 0
I am new to the world of Vr6's and the information available to premium members is priceless. So far I have saved somewhere in the region of £1000 on parts and labour. as for the mess I would have made trying to do some of these jobs without step by step help of the Knowledge Vault.......PRICELESS!!!!!! Well worth treble the £15 membership!!

goonersteve 0
I've been a Premium member for nearly two years now (i think). My renewal is coming up soon and even despite being well and truly skint after Xmas and this credit crunch malarky, i will most definately be paying the £15 to renew.I have now saved well over £400 just from group buys alone. Add to that the discounts from GSF and other companies and also my insurance premiums which have come down alot since being made aware of a specialist insurer on here. All i can say is i'm a very happy boy and you will be too!......unless you are a girl, then you'll be a very happy girl! Happy days

GLOSS 1
Although I don,t run an orthodox VW VR6, I found premium membership of VR6 owners club a cheap and easy way of getting brilliant information to strip and re build a knackered VR6 lump which I used to make the ultimate VWolf in sheeps clothing. And when I came to insure the beast, guess what? I got a discount on the modified insurance because I am a member of VR6 owners club! All this for £15, bargain. Oh I now run the only UK Seat Toledo MK1 VR6 that I know exists. ( it don't get any better at the lights!). VR6Pete
vrandrew 0
i have also saved huge amounts compared to other company's by using my discount with adrian flux well worth the £10.00 it cost to join. and am currently rebuilding the old golf as it was let go a bit and im already saving again!!! juliet 0
Over the last 3 years i have found out a massive amount of information with reguards to this vehical of mine. Iv saved myself time and money by either buying parts directly from people from this web site or benn pointed in the right direction as to where to get things cheaper or how to fix things myself.Go on join up the benifits justify spending £15Homer
DubbleTrouble 0
Let me start by saying thanks to all involved for setting up, maintaining and running such a great website! The amount of knowledge, help and hints is a godsend. Saved me a lot of time and probably a small fortune sorting out the few problems I've had with my car. I signed up for premium membership just after buying my mk3. the very next day saved more than twice my membership fee at GSF I've been back there a few times since and saved myself a stack of money. I went to the VW dealers in Poole a couple of weeks ago, didn't know if i would get any discount, but thought I'd try anyway and got 10% off from them.I think the premium membership is very reasonably priced, (and I'm a real tightass!) the window stickers are v. cool as well. Infact I can't think of any reasons not to join. SO GO ON, JOIN US!!!!!
VR6Pete 1,456
I'm glad people are still getting good benefits of using this site after all the years its been running
craggsy 91
The single best thing i've got out of this club are the good friends that ive met. And the nights drinking are a big plus for me!!!!!

VR6Nat 9
bump for all those that are 'non premium'.... :) VR6Pete
VR6Pete 1,456
And for those who are premium members, and you have gained something from being a payed member, (guides, how-to's, discount on parts / insurance etc..) please reply and share your experiences
VR6Nat 9
i went with Sky insurance who matched my cheapest quote on all the compare sites, then beat it with the mods declared... saved around £60.I brought my brake discs and pads from gsf for 90 odd quid... saved another £9Bought my clutch from gsf for £80 odd quid... saved £8Also bought a battery from gsf for £50 quid... saved £5, prob even more stuff than i can think of right now too over the last year. all adds up!Used the guides many many times to repair all sorts of things that id be screwed without and would have ended up in a garage paying loads more than needed. Also a mega benefit is the shows, being on the club stand, having the social side of things.Plus getting on tap advice day or night from people who actually know what they're talking about....Makes the £15 almost not seem enough dont it???
VR6Nat 9
Oh and of course, having my chains repaired by another premium member on the forum.... i got to spend the day tinkering with the vr and learning loads, didnt have to worry all day leaving my car with a random garage and saved between 200 and 300 in the process too.... mega result. :)
VR6Nat 9
We also did a 'potter engineering day' with a load of premium members round Jims all helping eachother to fix our cars and add bits on for nothing... got my coilovers fitted dirt cheap, had a great day... nice bbq... great hospitality from Jim... i could go on, but im rambling now... i think you get the idea!! lol
rodney 17
I get 15% off my insurance values for my modified car every year... All the parts I have ever bought have been discounted by at least 10%... this includes fluids etc..All cleaning products have been discounted again by at least 10%...Think of it this way. If you save !5% on your insurance it is leess than £100 a year then you break even...as membership is £15. Othwerwise you immediatly save money...It's a no brainer for me.... The other part being the mates who allow use of tools support on car days and do things for mates rates or a few beers. Cheapest service you will ever have from a VW technician...
