antera309 3 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 Well, I know that:- An R32 engine Mk2 has been done- it uses a Mk3 VR6 gearbox (fitted with an LSD)In fact, the whole conversion is very similar to a VR6 transplant, other than the engine itself. I imagine that (as always) the electrics would be the hardest part of the conversion.There are quite a few 1.8T Mk2s out there now, so lots of information exists on this conversion.
