Can anyone tell me wat was the actual horsepower of this Year 1993 Golf Vr6 , 2.8L?thanks.I seem to have a lag in the acceleration between rpm 2000 - 3000 revs.After this lagging point, the car pulls v well. Piston rings, cam bearings, conrod bearings, both timing chains, timng tensioners, all engine gaskets , new complete clutch kit, waterpump, 3 engine mountings ALL new!Thats why i cannot diagnose why there is a flat spot at 2000-3000 rpm rev. AS mentioned, after 3000 - 5500 rpm, the car shoots off like a bullet. Link to post Share on other sites
mike 6 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Share Posted January 1, 2009 that a huge list!id say get it on a rolling road, a decent one, they should be able to see where the cars losing the power and advise you.mine had the same thoing, was told it could be the injectors, and need them serviceing.altho had a cracked coilpack, and since replacing that runs alot better.
