Nasty noise!!

Hi, Im getting a rubbing/grinding sort of noise from my 4motion Bora,

It only does it when its on full lock, mini roundabouts, junctions ..that sort of thing. It sounds as if a tyres flat and rubbing on the sidewall and wheel rim ..but its not ..neither is the wheel catching on anything ..all clearances are fine!

When i had it MOT'd the other day they couldnt find anything and said it was likely a transmission problem?

Does anybod have any ideas, and what its likely to cost me?

Im was gonna be selling it soon and this has sort of put a spanner in the works!

God i hope its not the diff ...gonna get it booked in somewhere at the weekend ..and start saving money! eeek!

could it be a wheel bearing does it happen only when turning right? On a different note if it were the transmission. Then if u put the clutch in and freewheel round the corner the noise should stop. Good luck

yup! ..had a play around tonight and it only does it while accelerating ...its really hard to hear from outside the car, and it drives fine otherwise.
