front top mount guide/walk through

can someone experianced please run me through a step by step guide on how to change my front top mounts

also a parts list would be good - i will be ordering the parts from vw so ekta codes would be great!

i know i obviously need the rubber top mounts, but which bearing bits etc do i need

rite here we go ready ... with the car still on the ground undo both top mount nuts ( 21mm socket or angled spanner .. mite need to hold the shock still with a 6 mm hex key in the top ) remove the metal cups, now jack the car up and alow the shocks and springs to lower out of the turrets, once fully done u should be able to to remove the top mounts should just be able to pull them off the shocks or down from the turrets dependin if they have got stuck or not ....now fitt ur new ones insure they are the correct way up ... lower the car down ... u mite need a mate to help tp align the shocks into the turrets now refitt the metal cups and nuts and tighten .... before drivin off bounce the front of the car a few times to alow the suspension to settle a bit first ... job done ...

as for part numbers sorry cant help and not to sure if the bearings are part of the mounts or not think they are but dont hold me to it lol

Bearings do not come with the top mounts. Go to TPS and just tell em top mounts and new bearings, they are good down there now. I use em all time now
