Well stuck it together tonight, just to make sure it all fits together still happy with result so thought I'd share.

As some of you may know I had the mk3 painted recently and job was poop, and just gave up with it!! and I picked up another shell last weekend its a 1.4cl base model which is what I was after, really good condition throughout, gonna fit a few bits off the 5 door mostly drivetrain and interior, Booked in to get some paint in 6 weeks so better get it stripped out ready to go, then the rebuild can comence.

Had a bit of spare time yesterday so stripped the white one, just engine and wiring left to do <_<

Today saw removal of the engine and front loom, then spent a while trying to get rid of all the wax.. :angry: nearly all done now

the wings were supposed to be painted at the same time but we found a few spots of rust all round the bottom of the arch so left them out till the rust is sorted

No updates as yet, bodyshop have all but stopped work on it seems, they were updating me daily until about 6th of June but thats the last I got, they are too far away for me to just pop in, so will be local to them next Tuesday and hope to see progress big time...

Hi Mate

Just been throught your thread and you have done some great work.

Just thought i would mention though that the Turbo jacket you are running may cause problems with over heating the turbo, a friend of mine had one on a GT35 and the turbo got that hot it boiled the oil and killed the turbo which im sure you know are not cheap to replace.

Anyway, great project and loving the OZ split rims
