patrick green 0
Hi AllHas anyone bought a Ram Air filter & if so, did it come with a length of ali induction tubing? I've got one from Awesome & tho the pics I've seen shown all the bits including the ali tube, mine didn't come with one. It's no biggie but I'd like to know if I'm missing out!Thx in advance

Guest Olly_K
i take it you guys mean this bit (arrowed)AmD fitted mine, but its obvious they've just used a bit of samco hose for it.[ Edited Sat Jan 31 2004, 10:12AM ]
Macca 1
I was talking about a separate piece of tubing, to run from the bottom grille, supplying cold air to the filter. The problem is squeezing it in the small space available.
binliner 0
as macca said you can get it from places like halfords in various diameters... Halfords own brand one is about £5I managed to squeeze the huge bmc ducting down to the lower grill but I cant say that it makes much difference other than its quieter with it attached... which is a bad thing IMO!! patrick green 0
yea I ended up getting some ducting from halfords as well & had the same trouble as others in finding room to squeeze it in! Sounds good tho & does make the car more lively. Now for the exhaust & konis!
ukdub 0
i had a pro ram air fitted by awesome gti it is very loud. My little lad kept telling me to slow down. Changed it for a cda. Much better.
patrick green 0
I only got the Ram Air one because on the Club VR6 page it said a K&N was really loud & having used them before I was getting tired of cleaning & re-oiling them. The Ram Air is loud but different - I like it - for now!
Mangold 0
you can't beat the roar you get from a vr6 with a ram air induction kit fitted. Total 10/10 grin factor!!!.....
andy 0
hi, bought a RAM-AIR supa induction kit last week, paid £75, VAT was paid for by the supplier, (online). looks good, sounds amazing (on the deafening side when throttle wide open but very civil otherwise!) Easy to fit and came with ali tubing, bracket, cable ties etc. Pulls like a train, noticeable difference. big grin!
Macca 1
I love mine too! Am i supposed to clean it, re-oil it at some point?
Mangold 0
Yeah, just like a K&N you gotta clean and re oil it. Make sure you use the proper Ram air products to do it!

andy 0
Got it from this place, price quoted on the site is £79, they are paying the VAT for a limited period. When I phoned, the guy asked me what the price was on the site, I said £75 ish so thats what I paid! Should have said £65 with hindsight! http://www.autopoint-tuning.co.uk
