Dicko&Sarah 0
i REALLY want some merc amg wheels on my vr but theyre wrong pcd and i know ill need the hub adaptors if i wanna fit em, where is cheapest for the adaptors? Hubby thinks i should just get the rs4 wheels instead but im exhausting every option for the merc ones before i give in, here are a few photoshops of what it will look like..... the rs4 ones are too deceptive though as theyv got mahoosive brakes behind em 8-) what ya reckon#? tubby 0
The merc look sweet just get them polished if you do decide to go with them just my opinion
Dicko&Sarah 0
i want the lip polished but tbh i dont know if i can justify the price of adaptors, anyone know of any cheap stockists??
tubby 0
Have a look over on e38 and the for sale section on here and you might get a second hand set.
nivag27 5
Both wheels do have a certain appeal about them.I prefer the RS4's but the Merc's suit the age of the car. Imo of course.Sorry dont know of any stockists tho.
Ben Seabrook 4
As virgin says the best place for the adaptors is the for sale section on here and E38 and ebay - you will pay about £150 for them. Just check the ET of the merc wheels to make sure you get the right sized adaptors
craggsy 91
Offset on AMG wheels is usually around 30.....so as thin as possible adaptors are needed. Thinest I know of are 15mm from FK i beleive. I prefer H&R adaptors myself as they are so light but do cost more. ANy more help just ask away
Dicko&Sarah 0
cheers for that never thought about offset issues hmmmmm i might have to re thin my plans!
craggsy 91
cheers for that never thought about offset issues hmmmmm i might have to re thin my plans! The wheels you have in the pic are 17x8 or 17x7.5 more than likely 8" wides that would mean you will need to get your arches rolled back, meaning that the metal lip under wing needs to be flat against inside of wing, or the tyres will get ripped to shreds!!!!!Get them rolled and run 20mm adapters and they should, all being well, fit nicely. If not try 15mm adaptors.Iff you want em go for it. I nearly had them as really wanted AMG wheels but didn't want 17s as I think they look terrible myself as I prefer 16s
Phat VR6 3
I like both, RS4 fav but both look mint
Dicko&Sarah 0
tbh i think out of ease and money ill prob go for rs4 wheels, even though my heart is in the merc ones i simply dont have the time to be messing about so much, once i get the few things i want doing ill get another photoshop to see which looks best
