jetski-billy 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Share Posted October 17, 2007 After a unexpected week and half wait i just picked up my 2001, 3 door golf 4motion..as i pulled into the garage to fill up i suddenly thougth ' sh*t ' what petrol do i put in her??should of done my research,, had bloody long enoughanyway i put in standard shell unleaded (god i hope it was right)what im asking is..................what do you guys put in?has anyone found a difference between std and optimax (other than the cost) lolany feed back well appreciatedwill post some pics tomorrow scott Link to post Share on other sites

jetski-billy 0 Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 22, 2007 well i filled it the first day with ordinary shell unleaded.. cost £63ive just hit 310 miles but dnt rekon ive got a lot left as its gettin near the red.mind u it was under the red when i picked it updnt spose its much worse than my old vr6 realy, just far superior to drive..not realy bin raggin it drive it slow and people can admire it..i love the looks i get from gti owners(no offence again)have started saving already again as its gota be a R32 next!!! lolive posted some pics in the gallery under multimedia (how can i attach photos to my threads?? just cudnt seem to do it)scott Link to post Share on other sites

6cylinder 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 I have been using tesco 99 ron for a while now.Used to use optimax,but it gave off a smell and my tail pipes were always sooting up.Dont get this with the tesco stuff.Seems to run better aswell.
