Smoothing the Bumpers - Help wanted

Hi All,

I've been thinking about smoothing my bumpers as they are currently non colour coded and keeping the black plastic part like new is doing my head in! So my choice is to either colour code them as they are, or fully smooth them in, and as its going to get messy either way i thought i may as well go for it!!

My question is, what do you guys usually use to do this? when i have done similar jobs in the past i've started with fibreglass and then filled over that with standard body filler and then just used putty etc if needed at the end. Is that the way i should go about this or is there something i've not considered.

Any advice would be greatfully received.

i done mine, use plastic reinforced filler, then easy sand filler, prime and paint ..

Hi, did u do your bumpers?

Did u spray them yourself?

no mate in the end i used Base 21 Paintworx to do them while i was getting loads of other bodywork done. made sense in the end to pay the pro's!!

I see, seems smart, but its SOO expensive in Norway, so i think im gonna go the route that Gav_VR6 did, and if i screw up then I will go to the pro guys.
