But I dont know if the tiny one will be road legal thou.. anyway I know this has been posted before somewhere but search didnt find me anything Thank you
kalv 0
VR6Rich has them in the lower part of the bumper - can't remember what mounts he used to get them to fit...?
VR6Rich 3
:-) I used a MK1 golf number plate holder which has the brackets already welded to the back of it. With some slight bending you can get it in the oorrect position to fit neatly under the bumper in a couple of recesses that seem to be made to fit this bracket! :-DGot it off good old eBay but have only seen the one come up on there! antera309 3
You can screw your plate to the front splitter like I did, but mounting it on L-brackets just in front of the main air intake does look nicer, especially if you trim the plate down a bit.
Dima 1
Have you got a picture of your please?I cant seem to find mk1 mounts anywhere... is there another set of brackets I can use like from focus or something?
VR6Rich 3
Havent got a close up pic sorry. You could just go down to B&Q and get some metal brackets for fitting worktops, etc and modify them to fit the number plate.
