purple highline monster 0
i always use genuine plugs, think they are Bosch Beru and NGK longlife ones depends on what stock they have in, my new leads are the VW Quantum ones, pretty decent tbh and at about £70 for the whole set much cheaper than the red vw ones that can only be bought individualy for silly money @ £20 each! VR6BOY 2
jazzbluegti ? i have fitted red originals and maindealer platinum plugs no probs at all (except for the fuel pump that decided to let go)
FishWick 21
Can't go wrong with the OE red ones, built to last and they have full length metal plug shrouds. Cheaper ones only have half length ones and not quite as robust. As for plugs - NGK BKR5EU or BKR5EUP are fine, but don't pay dealer money, get them from sparkplugs.co.ukI find the OE 5 heat range to be a little hot personally, a cooler 6 is better and I had good luck with the NGK BKR6EIX iridium, really good plugs.Golf 16V Bosch "Yytrium" plugs from GSF work well too, as do NGK V power copper race plugs. The VR isn't all that fussy to be honest, but Tom's MSD coil modification is where the real spark improvements will come from.
Paul1982 0
I bought a Set of Bosch Super 4's as i was told these are the best for the car which are pretty standard. But i K1 10.0mm (blue) leads which made a massive difference. The car runs smoother and more responsive!!

djemeryvr6 0
I got Magnecor 8mm leads and they are fine get them in blue and if you get the samco hose pack for your car the look the dogs. Spark plugs stick with stock parts unless you rgonna supercharge then get iridium ones

Paul1982 0
Magnecor aint that good lads - the Voltage rating is brilliant but they have a very high resistance rating which makes them on par with the OEM ones lol. There are a few web pages explaining why but cant find them at the mo sorry
