petervr6 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Share Posted February 24, 2007 was just driving home stopped at the lights then pulled off a little hard then there was nothing just a grinding the car was in gear but would not move just makes a grinding sound any ideas i had a look at the shafts they seem to be intact. rodney 17 Posted February 25, 2007 Report Share Posted February 25, 2007 Do you have full clutch pedal motion??Can you feel a bite point???Do any gears engage???Does the gear lever go into any of the gear positions (don't forget reverse)???Does it try and stay in gear if you get it in gear and is it difficult to pull out or try and jump out????Do you get any noises when in Neutral also place preasure on the lever to engage withoput dipping the cluch (don't actually engage the gear tho' and any of the gears)???This will help us establish if you have shreaded a gear, have drive/halfshaft issues, Thrust bearings etc etc.. petervr6 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 ye i think your right mate i was having a look today and i was pushing the engine back and forth with hand and there is a bit of movement in the mounts.im going to strip it down tomoz and have a better look im hoping its just poped out and not snapped but it looks like it has just poped out.
