thermostat housing & coolant pipe

trying to track down a water leak, turns out the thermo housing is absolutely buggered, also will be needing a replacement coolant pipe ( with drain valve) any ideas? and are these parts available at ford?

the housing isnt expensive from VW

Dunno but they do them at GSF, for a quarter the price of VW!

u can get the whole houing,new stat,and all seals for under 50 quid retail mate,and replace all of it,its not worth messing bout where the cooling system is concerned

The tw*t behind the counter at the local stealers never mention/supply the O ring on the crack-pipe joint,ended up doing the job twice.

hmmmm,sorry mate,il apologise for him,its those lil things that u always need

oh and id suggest changing the ecu temp sensor too,that sometimes play up,ans make ur gauge read wrong,and they only a tenner too

i got mine as a kit all the seals , everything needed from www.pap-parts.com , thier in america but the kit cost me $80 posted thats about £42 only thing is it took about 3 weeks to come !
