speedo 0
Yep you`ve been told right. It`s a piece of pi55.Is that your correct reg. no.?? or is it private; reason being is that if your running OBD2 ecu, you wont need a large throtle body.
K9ANY 0
not really mike.....apparently it makes the car more responsive.

theotherphil 0
Looks like the throttle body I just won on ebay. Gas flowed and a larger butterfly...66mm vs 64mm (~6.5% increase in area).
Chris355 0
i saw that on e-bay too and was thinking it looked fairly funk, is it just a case of bolting on? how much did you get it for? was up for a ton, yea?
nickbee 1
I've got one, gas flowed, larger cross section etc. Fitting is easy, just unbolt the old one and bolt the new one on. Not sure it really made much difference - I'm hoping I may see the benefit when I (eventually) get a remap. Either way, I only paid £100 for it, but wouldn't have paid more. theotherphil 0
Hi Chris355, like nickbee I also snagged mine for £100. It possibly won't make a huge difference in performance (I'd guess 5-8 BHP max), but it's all the small gains here and there that add up to a large gain. When AMD are selling gas flowed throttle bodies for £250, I thought £100 was a good deal.

mina 0
I had an AmD throttle body fitted on my previous Vento VR6 -already had their chip.Appreciate rolling road figs are sensitive to temp / pressure etc, but my car gained 3bhp and 6lbft - 199bhp and 205lbftNot that much really I guess in terms of £ per bhp, but the driveability was definitely better - the car would pull smoothly from 800rpm in 5th!!CheersMina
