The VR6 Owners Club first started out in September 2003, under the name VR6Golf.co.uk (A website initially dedicated to my 1997 Golf VR6).Little that I knew that future of the VR6 scene was changing. As you may well know, Club VR6 had been providing the VR6 scene with its information, tech info, events and newsletters for over 10 years, which is quite an achievement in itself. Unfortunately, the interest in Club VR6 had diminished over a period of time, and in July of 2004, The VR6 Owners Club was born. Initially purchasing all name spaces and rights along with its member’s database, we set to work building what you now see before you.
The website was re-branded from VR6Golf to The VR6 Owners Club as popularity increased, and the amount of registered forum members increased. In 2005, we launched a service aimed at enthusiasts who wished to support and improve the club, This was called Premium Membership, the revenue generated from this catapulted us into “prime time” allowing us to introduce a host of new features to the website, and more importantly the club. We have had a prominent presence in all major shows during the past 2 years along with organising our own events.
Recently we have started to reach out to some of the newer VR6 variant models such as the prestigious R32 and other V6 models.
The VR6 Owners Club currently have over 450+ club members whom are primarily based in the United Kingdom, but have a growing user base in other Countries, we welcome all current and prospective owners along with your friends and family to our meets and events.
Membership of the club is open to any VR6 / R32 owner or prospective owner for an annual yearly subscription of only £10.00, you can still join up to our forum and be part of our community, seek advice or simply share your stories free of charge.
Our members own a varied range of factory VR6, prestigious R32 models and custom conversions, with a large proportion of these being enjoyed on a daily basis, the club is certainly not restricted to concours condition show cars.
The club has a busy and varied programme of events through out the year, ranging from rolling road days, RWYB, national and local meets with a friendly and informal atmosphere.
