anyway its a R reg mk3 golf it was a gti 8v and still is on the log book (although i did declare it on insurance) i have many recipts and paper work from both cars and two keys for the car.

the engine is a obd2 2.8 lump out of a highline i did the conversion myself and i am a aeronautical engineer, so i knew what i were doing engines arent unfamiler things.

its 3door,in storm grey. electric windows and sunroof and central locking, it has mk4 style headlights, i will also include the bonnet bra and plate surrounds. it has a dtm upswept exhaust bbs rx2 alloys off an mk3 anni, and lowered on coilovers.

the engine has done around 106k and wont be going up much at all infact it wont go up any after tomorrow. the tax runs out at the end of this month (sept)
the mot is untill jan 2011

now the bad bits every car has them:
the car did have plastic arch trims but i took them off and found rust, so i have rubbed both front wings down and resprayed one not the best of jobs to be honest, also i found a nice dent which someone must have done whilst it has been in a car park, its amazing what you find just by removing a plastic cover. now i have been quoted £400 for both sides to be redone and all rust removed. when the engine is first started it revs high at around 1000k then drops after a few seconds. i think i have mentioned everything, the car is located in loughborough and would need to be trailered or towed as it will have no tax after sept.

now the price im not going to be ambitious and going to ask for offers around £750(if it dosent sell ill break it down)

I started off with Chemical guys Jetseal109 but found it doesnt last very long at all, a few weeks and it had all but disappeared. Its very easy to apply but can be tricky to get off, the result was a typical synthetic sealant sterility, where the finish is very high contrast but flat and colours not necessarily reflected with much vibrance. The flake more or less disappears too leaving just a very dark black it looked almost like no flake at all

Then onto Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket, This left the paint with a silky smoothness that nothing else has, and it lasts long too, a good 2-3 months and the protection is still there. Its also by far the easiest to apply and buff off, you can do the full caron and off in 20 mins easy. But this left the paint even more sterile than Jetseal, if you were going for mirror finish and high contrast light reflectivity then this is the one you want. I have no pics of my car but i do of my gfs focus which is an identical metallic black and with FMJ on behaves the exact same as my golf did.

The latest i have tried out is Dodo Juice Blue Velvet which is hard carnaubu wax that is colour charged specifically for dark cars. This is very easy on although it does take some time and buffs off after curing much like jetseal, not hard but does provide resistance. The last car i used this on was my performance blue focus ST, on that this stuff was fantastic, gave real depth, vibrancy and shine.
It does the same thing to my golf, while not being as reflective as the synthetics it still does, with the added bonus of much deeper brighter reflection.

The flake also pops out like crazy in the sunlight, i just couldnt get a good pic of it. My experience with this tells me it will also last long enough, and if used with a wax friendly shampoo, (Menzerna atm, im probably going to use dodo's own born to be mild when that runs out) it will layer up well and add to both protection and finish quality each time.

The reflections of the red punto from both cars demonstrates the depth and colour vibrancy difference best.

Im still undecided myself as to which is best, given that the menzerna will probably last longer and wont degrade being synthetic, or that the wax gives nicer depth and lustre. Ill have to see how the dodo juice wears and decide then.

These have the dipped headlights, main beam, and indicators within them.

They come with all the bulbs already fitted. The headlight bulbs are the highly rated Philips X-treme which give up to 80% more light.

Theyre in excellent condition, been on the car for about a year. I used headlight protectors over them so they dont have any stone chips.

My tyres are running very low on my Mk3 VR6 highline and its currently running 205 50 15 tyres. I have a Nnew set of 195 45 15 tyres sat in the garage, would these fit and be ok? the car is on FK coilovers so i can adjust to suit looks etc and maybe even fit some 10mm spacers to push them out and bit.

What do you guys and girls think?

I picked up this Brombeer 95 VR6 from Stockholm - Sweden (2008), it's a bit hard to start, but haven't been able to go over it properly yet.......drove it about 1000 km from Stockholm to Bergen - Norway.

The pics are quite bad, as I haven't taken any pics of it myselfe yet, but this is how it looked while it was still swedish...:)

Funny story about this car though, was never sold as a new car as it was in use by Volkswagen themselves, according to VW Automuseum (long story short, due to registration in Norway, I tried to find a first date for registration in Germany, wich doesn't seem to exsist, as VW doesn't register these cars on a "normal" german plate).

It got pretty much all equipment, besides leather. It got sunroof, AC, double airbags etc, and it's done about 119000 Km, and got a full service record.

He relplaced his inlet manifold with that of a 325 and it squeeze out an extra 10 hp. Does anyone think that a smaller one on a vr6 would work?
