How are the side rubbing strips attached on a mk4 golf? Are they attached using foam sticking strips or are they the type that slide into position and would leave holes if removed?

Bungy...i have had a look through the MKIV site and there is a thread on there that suggests that the strips locate into holes in the bodywork....hope this helps

Those photo's show what I needed. Looks like a lot of welding to close all those holes if I decide to remove.

Go to the end of this thread and it shows a MK4 with the door mouldings removed, holes filled and panels primed ready for painting.
